Dr. Douglas Sheahan hails from Pearl River, NY, and grew up in Rockland County. He completed his undergraduate studies at SUNY Stony Brook earning a degree in Biology and a minor in History. Dr. Sheahan remained at Stony Brook to attend the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. After graduating from dental school, he began residency at North Shore University Hospital, attending to patients in both the clinic and hospital settings. He remained with the program for two years of residency, serving as chief resident in his second year. Dr. Sheahan also completed a part-time third-year implant fellowship at the hospital and joins our practice on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
When he's not practicing dentistry, Dr. Sheahan can be found spending time with friends and family, hiking, playing guitar, or expanding his vinyl record collection.
